Ranked defense styles from wall shells to glass cannons—pick what fits your wave stage and co-op size.

Tier List Hub

This Tier List Hub ranks defense approaches and build styles for Build and Kill Verity—not a random unit gacha chart copied from another Roblox game. The experience is a strategy / tower-defense loop: you build a base, survive monster waves, face bosses, rely on autosave, endure offline base fights, and optionally run co-op up to six players. Your tier placement should reflect how a layout performs across that full loop.

Use this page with the practical tutorials: How to Build a Base, How to Survive Waves, How to Beat Bosses, and the Co-op Guide. New players should skim Getting Started first so tier jargon maps onto real controls and shop flow from the Controls Hub.

Ranking criteria

Every style below is scored with the same four lenses:

  1. Wave clear reliability — Does the layout hold under normal and spiked waves without constant panic rebuilds?
  2. Boss readiness — Can the same footprint pivot when a high-HP or special boss arrives?
  3. Co-op scaling — Does adding teammates (up to six) make the plan stronger, or does traffic and shared space break it?
  4. Resource efficiency — How much material and shop currency does it burn relative to the protection it buys?

Tiers are context-aware. An S-tier late-game hybrid can be F-tier on wave 3 if you starve yourself of starter walls. Always match the tier band to early / mid / late columns.

Early waves (foundation)

TierStyleWhy
SWall shellCheap closed perimeter, clear repair routes, teaches pathing. Best first investment.
ATrap corridorsFunnel monsters into chokepoints; strong if you already have a partial shell.
BTurret nestsDamage spikes early but drains resources; leave gaps and you leak.
CHybrid (thin)Mixing everything before you understand paths wastes mats.
DAFK offline-orientedOffline fights matter, but over-optimizing AFK before you can clear live waves is backwards.
FGlass cannonMax damage, no shell—one leak ends the run.

Early game priority: close a wall shell, place a short trap corridor on the main approach, then add a modest turret nest covering the choke. Details live in How to Build a Base and wave timing in How to Survive Waves.

Mid waves (compression)

Mid game is where bad habits show. Monster density rises, special enemies punish open corners, and you start saving for boss windows.

TierStyleWhy
STrap corridors + shellControlled pathing plus a repairable outer layer is the mid-game gold standard.
AHybrid (balanced)Shell + corridor + nested turrets with clear upgrade order.
BTurret nests (fortified)High DPS if the nest sits behind walls; fragile if exposed.
BWall shell (upgraded)Still excellent, but pure walls without funnels struggle as HP pools grow.
CAFK offline-orientedWorth seeding now—reinforce pieces that matter when you disconnect—but do not ignore live clears.
D–FGlass cannonOccasional clutch clears, frequent wipe risk; poor co-op etiquette when you burn shared mats.

Mid-game tip: after each successful wave, spend on one system (thicker walls, longer corridor, or nest DPS)—not all three. Efficiency is a tier criterion for a reason. Track shop habits via Controls so you are not fumbling menus mid-pressure.

Late waves and bosses

Late game and boss checks separate stylish bases from durable ones. Bosses often ignore the “average wave” assumptions you optimized for.

TierStyleWhy
SHybrid (full)Layered shell, forced path, overlapping turret coverage, repair stockpile. Best all-rounder for bosses and live waves.
ATrap corridors (deep)Excellent for trash and many bosses if the funnel length and decoys are tuned; weak if the boss skips pathing.
ATurret nests (redundant)Multiple overlapping nests survive focus-fire better than one mega nest.
BAFK offline-orientedHigh value once your live clear is stable—autosave + offline fights reward bases that do not depend on frantic manual repairs.
CPure wall shellStill respectable, but DPS ceilings matter when boss timers or enrage patterns appear.
FGlass cannonEntertaining highlight clips; terrible boss readiness and co-op reliability.

Style deep dives

Wall shell

A continuous perimeter with gated access for players. Strengths: clarity, repairability, beginner friendliness. Weaknesses: long walls cost mats; without funnels, monsters spread along the face. Best early; still solid late as the outer layer of a hybrid.

Trap corridors

Forced lanes with damage-over-time or slow zones. Strengths: efficiency and predictability. Weaknesses: corridor breaks create catastrophic leaks; needs disciplined rebuilds. S-tier mid when paired with a shell.

Turret nests

Clustered towers covering a kill box. Strengths: burst and boss chip. Weaknesses: resource hungry; nests without walls die first. Rise in tier as you gain economy.

Hybrid

Shell + corridor + nests with an upgrade order. Strengths: answers all four ranking criteria. Weaknesses: decision overhead for solo players. Default S-tier late; teach it in co-op. See Co-op Guide for role splits (builder, trapper, DPS shopper, repair runner).

Glass cannon

Minimal walls, maximum DPS. Strengths: fast clears when perfect. Weaknesses: zero margin, weak offline survival, poor co-op scaling. Park it in F unless you are speedrunning a known wave set.

AFK offline-oriented

Layouts that assume you will disconnect and let offline base fights resolve against your autosaved defenses. Strengths: respects the game’s unique systems; great for busy players. Weaknesses: if the live mid-game is unstable, offline will not save you. Climb from D early to B/A late once the hybrid core exists.

Co-op modifiers

With more players, hybrid and trap corridors scale best because roles specialize. Glass cannon gets worse—one reckless rebuild blocks teammates. Assign: one player owns the shell, one owns corridor traps, one owns nest DPS, others handle repairs and shop runs. Six-player lobbies should pre-agree on the Tier List target style before wave one.

How to use this hub over time

  1. Pick the early S/A row and build it in your first sessions (Getting Started).
  2. Transition to mid trap + shell using How to Survive Waves.
  3. Expand into full hybrid before serious boss attempts (How to Beat Bosses).
  4. Seed offline-oriented reinforcements once live clears are comfortable.
  5. Recheck tiers after patches on Updates; ignore “Verity” advice written for other Roblox games—confirm Place 139536504610209.

For codes that might fund a rebuild, see Codes. For unofficial tools, read the safety notes on Scripts before risking an account. Official destinations stay on the Links Hub. Full tutorial index: Guides Hub.

This tier list will evolve with balance patches, but the criteria—reliability, bosses, co-op, efficiency—should stay stable so you can re-rank new blocks and monsters without rewriting your entire mental model.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

What is the best base style for beginners?

Start with a wall shell, add a short trap corridor on the main approach, then a small turret nest. That path matches early S/A tiers without starving your economy.

Is glass cannon ever worth it?

Rarely. It can clear known easy waves for content creators, but it ranks F for boss readiness, offline fights, and co-op reliability. Prefer hybrid once you can afford it.

How do tiers change in co-op?

Hybrid and deep trap corridors scale best with up to six players because roles can specialize. Glass cannon and uncoordinated nests scale poorly when teammates fight for space and mats.

Should I build for offline fights from wave one?

Not first. Secure live wave clears, then reinforce pieces that matter when you disconnect. AFK offline-oriented layouts rise in tier after your hybrid core is stable.

Where do I learn the actual build steps?

Use How to Build a Base, How to Survive Waves, and How to Beat Bosses under the Guides Hub. This page ranks styles; those guides teach execution.

Will patches invalidate this list?

Balance updates can move styles between tiers. Recheck the Updates Hub after major patches and re-apply the same four criteria instead of copying outdated screenshots from other Verity games.
